Reliance Infocomm today launched seamless inter-standard international roaming service – 1World.1Number, with single number on international CDMA & GSM networks. This means that even when Reliance customers are roaming on a GSM network – for instance, in Europe – the caller line identification of the customer would still be his/her Reliance number. Reliance is the first telecom operator in India to launch inter-standard roaming.
The new inter-standard roaming service is a huge bonus for Reliance customers as they will no longer have to resort to call-forwarding when traveling from a CDMA network to GSM network and vice versa. With 11 major CDMA networks and 340 GSM networks covered under 1World 1Number service, Reliance now becomes the number 1 service provider in India in terms of offering the widest international roaming coverage and lowest roaming rates.
