Vodafone CEC is located at the corporate office of Vodafone Business Services in Mumbai. Spread over an area of 2,500 sq.ft, the Center has on display a suite of Total Communication Solutions comprising of Wireline and Mobility offerings hosted in a high tech and customer friendly environment. Deal breaks all Indian e-commerce records for number of transactions in a day for a single deal
TimesDeal.com, the group buying portal of The Times of India Group, set a new record with 70,000 mobile recharge deals in a day. With this, the portal outdid its own feat of 50,000 orders in a day that it had earlier established on December 01, 2011. TimesDeal.com offered users a special mobile recharge deal on 9th May, 2012 that allowed users to pay just Rs 50 and get a mobile recharge voucher from Paytm, worth Rs 100. The deal was a hit with users as it doubled the value of their money .
The deal sold 70,000 orders in a single day, a new record in terms of number of online orders in the e-commerce space in India. Timesdeal saw a huge traffic surge, with more than 3,00,000 unique visitors reported for that day. The rush was huge and demand was so intense that the number could have easily surpassed 70,000 if the portal did not have to shut the deal for the day. (more…)

SmartJog to increase its global digital cinema distribution on Intelsat 905
SmartJog unveiled today at CinemaCon, the annual convention of the motion picture exhibition industry, that it plans to double its satellite capacity over Europe. The multi-year agreement with Intelsat S.A., the world’s leading provider of satellite services, is for distribution of digital cinema services on Intelsat 905 at 335.5°East to customers in Europe.
This agreement reaffirms SmartJog’s role as a global leader in managed digital cinema distribution services. Currently, SmartJog delivers an average of 40,000 Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) each month via Intelsat 905 to SmartJog’s network of more than 800 cinemas and 3,000 screens in 13 countries across Europe.
“With a second full time satellite transponder, we will have an aggregated throughput of 140 Mbps available for delivery to cinemas once the upgrade is completed with dual tuner DVB-S2 cards,” said Jean-Sebastien Petit, CEO of SmartJog. “This will enable speedy delivery of four to six large feature film DCPs per day, at an average of 60 gigabits per hour.” (more…)
