Mobile Data and Multimedia services on Reliance’s mobile phones now bring international recognition to India with Reliance Infocomm having bagged the prestigious Asian MobileNews Award for its R World in Singapore.
Asian MobileNews announced the “Best Mobile Operator Marketing Campaign” for R World at a glittering ceremony held at The Tower Club, Singapore, last night which was attended by ‘who’s who’ of the Asian telecom industry including 3HK’s Agnes Nardi, Maxis Communications Malaysia’s Dato’ Jamaludin Ibrahim, Smart Communications Philippines’ Napoleon L Nazareno, Total Access Communications Thailand’s Sigve Brekke and Vichai Bencharongkul and Reliance Infocomm’s own Mahesh Prasad. Reliance Infocomm has tied-up with State Bank on India (SBI) for online RIM bill payment through R World, the data application suite of Reliance IndiaMobile (RIM). As per the arrangement, a RIM user with an SBI account will be able to pay the bill amount directly from his account. While this encrypted service is highly secure and easy to use, it’ll be free of charge.
Reliance Infocomm has similar tie ups for direct debit with ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. For credit card payments, it has arrangements with MasterCard, Visa, and Diners card. (more…)

India’s largest private telecom company Reliance Infocomm has introduced a special offer for its new prepaid fixed wireless phone (FWPs) customers. Called the prepaid FWP Talk Free offer, it allows them to make free unlimited calls to any Reliance phones including mobiles within the circle for the first 30 days. The offer is valid for connections taken between now and June 30.
Under the offer, the customer gets an FWP connection preloaded with Rs.400 recharge voucher, which can be used to make unlimited calls to all Reliance phones within the circle including Reliance India Mobile (RIM). The voucher, with 30-day validity, has a free talk time of Rs 150, which can be used to make local and STD calls to any phone in India. (more…)

Launches Joy 99 PLAN WITH low commitment OF Rs149 a MONTH

Reliance Infocomm, India’s largest private telecom operator, has introduced a postpaid plan that will enable one to go mobile for as little as Rs 149. The new plan NJ99, includes monthly rental of Rs 99 and caller line identification presentation (CLIP) and plan charges of Rs 25 each as applicable on all postpaid plans of Reliance IndiaMobile (RIM).
This marks Reliance Infocomm’s aggressive foray into the rapidly growing sub-Rs100 market that accounts for almost 50% of the industry’s average monthly post-paid net additions of 400,000. (more…)

Reliance Infocomm and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar (XIMB) today announced the launch of India’s first ever post-graduate programme through virtual classrooms in over 100 cities via 240 Reliance WebWorld outlets. Blueshift will co-ordinate and manage the programme.
The partnership harbingers a major breakthrough in distance learning in the country. As per the tripartite arrangement, XIMB will offer one-year Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Business Management (PCPBM) using Reliance’s platform.
