MTGF launched book entitled “Security Requirements OF Maharashtra-A National Perspective”

MicroTech Global Foundation (MTGF), a nonprofit organization steadfastly engaged in the upliftment of the humankind and the promotion of the welfare of the citizens of India. The doctrine of MTGF reveals that a secured society not only enhance the quality of life of a citizen and a nation as a whole but also brings automation in business processes to enhance productivity, hence the economic growth.

To this end, MTGF has brought in a series of books on security requirements of various states in India as well as various countries like Australia, Israel, USA. Recently, MTGF hosted a book launch at Vishnudas Bhave Natya Gruh, Vashi. Shri Ganesh Naik, Thane Guardian Minister in the State Government launched the book titled Security Requirements of Maharashtra-A National Perspective” authored by Dr. P. Sekhar”.

Maharashtra as a state is driven by its rapidly growing economy, and influx of foreign companies and investment, and government policies aimed at enhancing security of the state. The book explores sector‐wise dimensions of security and how security undermines state capacity to provide opportunities and services to help people sustain livelihoods. This book is an exhaustive  effort  to  overview Maharashtra  as  a  state  which has  a sound  economic and  social infrastructure.  As economic growth and nation building processes need a secured and safe society, which starts from a city to a State and to a nation as a whole, this book examines growth experience in various sectors of the state and growth components of Maharashtra. The book attempts to identify principal drivers of the economy in the state and their contribution to economic growth. The sectors are ‐ Industry, Power, Education, Agriculture, Healthcare, Telecom, Banking, Real‐estate, Transport, Tourism etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. P. Sekhar said, “Establishing, maintaining, and enhancing a sense of security and vulnerability in areas around critical infrastructure will require: matching human demands with available resources; recognizing threats, including environmental security threats and infrastructure vulnerabilities; and identifying the range of available options for preventing and minimizing natural disasters, technological failures, and terror actions.”
