ICLP Sets Sights on Indian Expansion with New Appointment

Leading global loyalty agency ICLP is continuing the company’s investment in Asia with the appointment of Krishna Iyer as the new Country Manager for the India operation.

Based at ICLP’s Mumbai office and focusing on the Indian and central-African region, Iyer’s key role will be to leverage ICLP’s global best practice, drive new business opportunities and help lead ICLP’s expansion within the region.

ICLP India now offers a range of B2B and B2C loyalty services including loyalty strategy consulting, loyalty strategy implementation, partnership marketing, data analytics, back office including voice, end-to-end fulfilment and mobile apps, ancillary revenue products around member engagement, and reward platforms.

ICLP’s Mumbai office is well established in the region, and has been supporting ICLP’s global clients with outsourced loyalty services since 2005. In the past few months ICLP Mumbai has started work for several new clients, such as Ethiopian Airlines and Hilton, helping the international hotel chain to drive partnership initiatives in the region.

Iyer’s appointment highlights ICLP’s commitment to business development within the region. “I am delighted to have joined ICLP,” says Iyer. “With such a pedigree in the loyalty market, I look forward to working alongside our experienced global team and to helping us drive business forward in the fast-growing Indian market. Since 1995, Iyer has gained experience in marketing, communications, branding, product management and partner relations, delivering successful loyalty and client retention programmes for large Indian blue-chip organisations, from both a client and agency perspective. His last position at ICICI Bank gave him exposure to credit and debit card businesses where his primary responsibility was around customer engagement and keeping ICICI Bank cards top of the wallet.

Iyer has also worked with network agencies including Lowe, JWT and Trikaya Grey (now Grey Worldwide), focusing on delivering successful marketing and communication initiatives for global brands such as Unilever and HSBC. His experience also includes time as Head of Programming at Radio City – a leading Mumbai radio station – where he drove incremental revenue and increased station listeners in a highly competitive market.

ICLP’s global network of offices provides innovative loyalty marketing solutions to a range of clients, who specifically in the Asia-Pacific region includes Cathay Pacific, Mandarin Oriental, Dunhill and Porsche. Iyer’s role will support the other ICLP offices to leverage local knowledge to help existing and new clients generate greater incremental revenue and share of customer wallet.
