Technology giant Acer India, recently completed a new engagement program, targeted at its channel partners, focusing on Acer eMachines brand across the Southern states of India. Acer’s unique channel engagement program is aimed at educating and training the partners on a wide array of Notebook and Netbook products under the eMachines portfolio while also providing them an understanding of industry trends. Designed as a channel event, Acer’s channel program showcased the strength of eMachines brand with key products and solutions that have made a significant impact to the channel partner community helping them generate more revenues.
As part of the channel event, Acer shared an update on the company’s performance while highlighting the new products launched under the eMachines brand. This was followed by hands on demo experience of all the products, making it easier for partners to understand the product lines.
During the interactive channel event, partners were briefed on the industry trends and the growing demand of PC’s in India that will directly related to increase in internet penetration and new business opportunities that exist in this dynamic environment. Acer updated its channel partners on its partnerships with several telecom operators to assist in the process of making mobile computing more affordable. As an example, Acer shared the novel cash back offer available to consumers on the purchase of its eM350 netbook bundled with a free MTS MBlaze dongle.
With internet and PC penetration growing at a phenomenal rate in India, Mr. Saji Kumar, Head – Product Management, Acer India said, “eMachines as a brand offers incredible value and performance at an affordable price to its customers. Targeted at the price-conscious consumer segment, Acer’s eMachines brand has witnessed a 100 percent YoY growth in 2010. Understanding the full potential of the brand, we formulated a program that would create a platform for partners to understand the entire product portfolio. The partner meet was organized across the southern states to increase the reach and to further reiterate the benefits of eMachines to the end consumer. During the session, we aimed to build a strong channel partner force; create a positive outlook towards the industry and boost both morale and productivity of the partners.”
He further added, “Partners play a crucial role in educating customers, enabling them to understand the products and its benefits better. Such sessions are highly educative and informative for the channel partners as they provide a great platform to understand the industry trends and current requirements of the customers.”
Acer also announced two special schemes during the session. Under theeMachines Feb Frenzy Program, channel partners selling 2 notebooks stood a chance to win Acer’s 320GB External Hard Disk Drive, while eMachines additional warranty scheme slab also gave the partners an opportunity to provide 3 years onsite warranty on its notebook and netbook.
